**June 8, 2020*** Moving into Phase Two of Governor Bullock’s plan to gradually reopen the state, MSU Extension will continue its current practices of telework, online and remote instruction in addition to resuming some small classes and face to face programing when social distancing and other safe practices are able to be maintained. The Yellowstone County Extension Office is open 8 am - 5 pm and we are committed to serving our community via phone calls, emails, and other appropriate means.

The Horticulture Assistant Program offers help to clients seeking information about home insect and pest control; orchard, fruit and vegetable garden care; urban windbreak, landscaping and lawn maintenance; soil improvement; and insect, disease and plant identification.

Horticulture Assistant, Amy Grandpre, started her career with Yellowstone County in July of 1980. Raised and educated in Tulsa Oklahoma, she quickly had to "re-learn" local horticulture. The biggest challenges were the short growing season and alkaline soils, as well as all the different insects. These are the issues she also finds most common in her day to day contacts.
